Captain Nemo’s Steampunk Clock

$230

Those of you who have read Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea’ or seen the (old) Disney movie of the same name, should recognize the name ‘Captain Nemo’. He was the somewhat deranged captain of the Nautilus, a technologically-advanced submarine that just happened to have a large pipe organ inside it, which Captain Nemo played at pivotal points in the plot.  What has this to do with this clock (I hear you ask)… this clock, built using various bits and pieces of recycled lamps, candlesticks, plus some antique clock hardware, also features 3 voicing stops from an antique 19th century pump organ.  Since Jules Verne is one of the authors who influences steampunk style, it seems only fitting to design a clock that pays homage to one of his best-known works.

A real conversation piece – this is not something you will find at your local big box store!

Includes a new quartz movement which takes a single AA battery (not included).

Size 6″ x 6″ x 21” (15cm x 16cm x 53cm)
