A breast drill is a type of hand drill with a breastplate which allows the user to lean over the drill and push down with his (or her) weight. Because gravity is helping, drilling is easier and faster and capable of performing heavier drilling jobs.  This example, made by the German company ‘Metabo’ in the 1930’s, has a great shape and is very stylishly designed in black and red.  It has been mounted on a sealed piece of weathered rough lumber and the red on the handles picked up nicely by the red shade.

All electrical components and new.  Comes with a standard base socket and recommended for a bulb of up to 40 watts (or 60 watt CFL equivalent).  Supplied with approximately 6 feet of black vinyl cord with an in-line rotary switch. The bulb is not included.
