A quirky timepiece called ‘Clock Movement’ – made from an antique shoe stretcher, 3 vintage casters which together resemble a roller skate, clock parts and miscellaneous brass bits. The clock dial is inset into a (cleaned) vintage tin plate which frames it nicely. As well as being a clock, this is also a kinetic sculpture, as the clock face and clock spring react to vibrations and small movements in the immediate vicinity – note that although they wobble around, there is no danger of them detaching from the shoe stretcher!
The clock is powered by a new quartz movement which takes a single AA battery (the battery is not included).
